MICRONEEDLING is a minimally invasive procedure using thin needles. This procedure can help improve the appearance and texture of your skin. Therefore, it helps reduce:
-
acne scars
-
stretch marks
-
wrinkles
-
skin discoloration or uneven skin tone

The Procedure:
The thin needles pulse up and down to puncture your skin. You might feel warmth or scratching on your face once the microneedling starts. These microinjuries stimulate the body's natural wound-healing process, encouraging collagen and elastin production. The length of time for the procedure depends on the size of the area that needs treatment. After the procedure your skin may be red and swollen for up to five days. An ice pack can help reduce irritation and discomfort.

Do you need more treatments?
Most people need multiple microneedling treatments, usually about 3 weeks to 8 weeks apart. It can take 3 months to 6 months to see results. Afterward, you might need the procedure once a year for maintenance.

Who should not have microneedling?
-
Acne or taking medication for acne
-
Blood disorders or are on anticoagulants (drugs that prevent clots)
-
Cancer and are receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy
-
Frequent skin rashes or cold sores
-
If your skin forms hard, raised scars
-
Moles, freckles, skin tags, or other growths that change in size, shape, or bleed
-
Eczema

If you are considering microneedling, it is recommended to consult with a dermatologist or your healthcare provider to determine if it's the right treatment for your skin type and concerns.
