HAIR PERMS (aka Permanent Wave) is a chemical treatment that alters structure of your hair to create long-lasting curls, waves, or added volume. At Bhumika Salon and Spa, we offer both Regular Perms and Speciality Perms.

 

Regular Perms:

​Traditional cold wave perms, perfect for creating uniform curls or waves throughout the hair. Provides classic curl patterns and volume, especially suited for fine to medium hair textures.

 

Specialty Perms:

• Spiral Perm - creates tight, corkscrew-style curls with lots of bounce and volume, ideal for long hair.

• Piggyback Perm - a technique using two rods per section to perm long or thick hair evenly, resulting in natural-looking curld from roots to ends.

• Candlestick Perm - produces looser, verticle waves using large rods placed vertically, perfect for soft, flowing curl effect with body.

​Procedure:

The process starts with a detailed consultation where our stylist assesses your hair’s texture, health, and desired curl style. Based on your goals, we choose between a regular or specialty perm technique. The hair is then thoroughly washed and sectioned before being wrapped around perm rods in a pattern that determines the final curl shape. A perm solution is applied to break down the hair’s internal bonds, allowing it to take on the shape of the rods. After processing for a set time, your hair is rinsed and a neutralizer is applied to reform the bonds in the new curl pattern. Once the rods are removed, your stylist gently styles and dries the hair to reveal your new curls or waves. The entire process usually takes 4+ hours, depending on hair length, thickness, and perm type. The result is long-lasting, bouncy curls or waves that add volume, texture, and personality to your look.
