To make sure we can deliver this level of service to all clients, we ask that you please respect our business scheduling policy: 1. Cancellations & Rescheduling If you are unable to attend your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice . This allows us to offer the time slot to another client. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, you will be charged 50% of the scheduled service fee. If you do not show up without notice, you will be charged 100% of the scheduled service fee. 2. Exemptions & Grace Policy We understand that life happens, and sometimes things are out of your control. For this reason: Each client is allowed one free exemption for a late cancellation or no-show. After that, fees will be applied unless there is a very valid reason, such as: Medical emergency Family emergency Severe weather or unsafe travel conditions Exemptions are granted at the discretion of Bhumika Salon and Spa management. 3. Respect for Our Time & Services We love having you as our client and are grateful for the trust you place in us. In return, we dedicate our time, skills, and energy to making you look and feel your best. Because of our commitment, several repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in the denial of future appointments . We kindly ask all clients to respect our cancellation policy, so we can continue serving everyone fairly. 4. Overtime/After-Hours Service Bhumika Salon and Spas' standard business hours are Monday-Friday 9 am - 6 pm Saturday 10:30 am - 4 pm Sunday 10:30 am - 3 pm Services requested outside of these hours, including appointments that start before closing but run past business hours, will incur an overtime fee as follows: Less than 2 hours beyond regular hours: 20% of the total service price. 2 or more hours beyond regular hours: 30% of the total service price. We are happy to accommodate clients who book long appointments late in the day, as long as they are aware of and agree to the overtime fee. Overtime services are usually pre-scheduled and approved in advance; however , same-day or walk-in appointments may be accepted at our discretion , depending on staff availability and scheduling convenience. This fee ensures fair compensation for staff working beyond regular hours and allows us to continue providing high-quality service to all clients. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Travelling Fees for Out-of-Salon Appointments Travel fees apply if services are booked at a different location 50% non-refundable deposit must be made We charge a $40 on-location fee on all bookings Travel fees are $0.75/km traveled. An overnight stay is required for any destinations farther than 1.5 hours from Kamloops. If pay parking is required, the Bride is also responsible for covering those costs. FINAL PAYMENTS: Can be made by E-transfer, Cash, Debit, or Credit Card. Tinting Tinting is a colour service that doesn't take away any hair, but uses a semi-permanent vegetable dye to enhance colour, shape, thickness, or all of the above. Tinting could be done on your eyebrows or on your eyelashes. Tinting can last about 2-3 weeks (for some up to a month), but this varies from person to person. We custom mix the colours to achieve the perfect shade for you. Tinting is most likely better to do if you have light or blonde eyebrows and eyelash hair. Tint only dyes the hair not the skin. Sometimes it appears darker on the first day, but not to worry, as tint fades out the next day after washing.

Waxing Waxing is a form of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root. At our salon we use both soft wax (for larger areas) and hard wax (for sensitive areas). Our All Natural Honey Wax instantly leaves your skin sleek, smooth and free of hair. Hard wax is gentler for delicate facial skin and Brazillian. Threading THREADING is an ancient hair removal technique that was found in Asia. It is the best alternative to waxing and tweezing, especially for sensitive skin. In Threading, a thin cotton or polyester thread is doubled, then twisted. It is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair plucking the hair at follicle level. Threading can remove short rows of hair at a time rather than removing one hair at a time. Threading lasts about 2-4 weeks depending on the density of your hair, but definitely lasts longer then waxing. It may sound painful, but Threading is a lot less painful and way better for your facial skin than waxing, as it is 100% natural and won't sag your skin. A combination of microblading / nano (at the front) and powder shading (on the arch and tail) for natural depth and fullness. Best For: Normal to slightly oily skin Clients wanting more definition with a soft front Sparse or uneven brows Prior and Aftercare Instructions: DO NOT pick, rub, itch, touch, apply make-up or sleep on brows for the first 10 days. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally flake away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of pigment. No Botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for at least four weeks before or after the brow appointment. Use a fresh pillowcase Avoid drinking alcohol or caffeine the day before your appointment. Avoid any blood thinners, ibuprofen, fish oil, Vitamin E or some herbal supplements for 2 to 7 days as thy may cause bleeding that prevents the procedure from working. Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week Avoiding direct sunlight, swimming, lakes, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms for the fist ten days. DO NOT use Salicylic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide, Scrubs, or any retinoid products at least a week before and 30 days after your brow appointment. Do Not tint, bleach or perform a brow lamination for 4 weeks after the session Do Not use oils, vaseline or other petroleum-based products during the healing process After the procedure, keep the area clean and apply a thin layer of suggested ointment by our technician about 2 times/day for 7-10 days Keep your hair away from the brow line After your brows completely healed, applying sunscreen to the area helps prevent fading IMPORTANT INFO: At first your brows will appear more bold than usual over the next few days. After your procedure, your brows may darken, this is totally normal. Around 7-14 days, you may notice some flaking/shedding of the skin near the brow area. When the skin flakes off, many times the pigment may disappear! This is normal! This is because there is still a thick layer of protective skin creating a veil over the pigment. Once you go through a skin regrowth cycle (4-6 weeks) the pigment will typically reappear but it can be upto 50-70% lighter than it was immediatly after the procedure. That's why a touch up session is recommended to perfect you brows. The retention will depend on a number of factors like lifestyle, skin type, sun exposure, health conditions etc. For your safety and to ensure the best results, all clients are required to complete and sign a Permanent Makeup Client Consent & Medical History Form prior to their appointment. Before Your Appointment Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners 24 hrs before Do not use retinol, glycolic acid, or exfoliants near the treatment area 1 week prior No tannin or sunburn on face before your appointment Come with a clean face and no makeup on the treatment area Fill the Client Consent and History Form and submit to us via email or in person Considerations - You may not be eligible if you: Are pregnant or nursing Have keloid scarring or very sensitive skin Are on blood thinners or certain medications Have uncontrolled diabetes or autoimmune disorders Always consult your doctor if unsure! Healing & Aftercare: Expect minor redness, swelling, and scabbing Do not pick at scabs - let them fall off naturally Keep the area clean and apply healing ointment as advised Avoid sun exposure, swimming, and sweating for at least 7-10 days You will see final results after full healing in about 4 weeks Mainteinance: To maintain the desired look, periodic touch-ups might be needed, generally over 1-3 years. Over time, the pigment may fade due to skin cell turnover, sun exposure, and other factors.
